Dr. Janice Chu, VMD
Dr. Janice Chu joined the Ohana Team in October 2015. Janice Chu grew up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Since the age of eight years old, she has dreamed of becoming a veterinarian. She graduated from the University Of Pennsylvania School Of Veterinary Medicine in 1996. After graduation, she worked at a mixed animal practice in Dover, Delaware for two and a half years. In January 1999, in addition to working in general practice, she worked part-time as a dental resident under her mentor Dr. Charles Williams at the Animal Dental Clinic in Vienna, Virginia, from January 1999-December 2006. During this time, she gained an extensive amount of training and knowledge in the area of veterinary dentistry. We are pleased to have her wonderful smile every day and her ability to help our patients have one as well.
She is a long-time member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Virginia Veterinary Medical Association, Northern Virginia Veterinary Medical Association, American Veterinary Dental Society, and the DC Academy of Veterinary Medicine.
When she is not working she enjoys horseback riding, cross stitching, hiking, and skiing. At the end of a long day, she loves going home to be with her Labrador retriever, Ming Ming, and her four cats: Indy, Emily, Rudy, and Mucci.
